Silver Dunes is situated in Betty's Bay, a peaceful coastal town in the indigenous Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve boasting 1 600 different species of indigenous plants. Nestled between the ocean and rugged mountains, it is very conveniently situated,

within easy reach of the Cape Town international airport (75 km) to the West, Cape Agulhas (the most southern tip of Africa , ( 150 km to the East, and the Winelands (60 km) to the North. The nearest 3 towns are Gordon's Bay – 30 km to the north, Kleinmond – 15 km and Hermanus 50 km, both to the east.

Roaming the mountains are leopards, baboons and in the fynbos one often finds mountain buck, especially at night. The area is renowned for its abundance of lobster in summer, and whale watching in winter. On it's beach the oyster catcher and penguins are breeding.

Silverdunes is a 3-star graded holiday destination, a member of GHASA and is also a very short walking distance from the beach.

Two tastefully decorated self catering apartments offer holiday accommodation in fully equipped

6-sleeper units. Both the GROUND FLOOR and FIRST FLOOR unit has its own separate outside entrance. The GROUND FLOOR unit has a portable braai on the lawn and a magnificent mountain view . The FIRST FLOOR unit has a balcony with ocean view and a portable braai on the balcony.

Each unit comprises of a lounge with TV-mnet, dining room, fully fitted kitchen, bathroom (bath and shower), main bedroom with queen size bed and a second bedroom with 4 built-in single beds. All linen and bath room towels are provided. Depending on the weather choose between a built-in braai/fireplace indoors or a portable braai to use outdoors. On site parking is available in a very safe neighbourhood with enough space for children to play.

• Go hiking on trails that lead to rivers and waterfalls, with the ocean in full view, especially in the breathtaking Leopard's kloof – 5km away.
• Relax on the white, peaceful sandy beach or go for Long walks along the shore where the protected Oyster catcher is breeding – 2 min. walk away.
• The lagoon at malkopsvlei offers safe swimming for children - 3 km away.
• Facilities for canoeing, wind-surfing, sand boarding and snorkelling - 2km away.
• Explore the wonders of the Fynbos kingdom by strolling, cycling or jogging on the quiet dirt Roads.
• Visit the beautiful botanical gardens and take the waterfall trail up the breathtaking Leopard's Kloof - 5km away.
• Visit a breeding colony of endangered African penguins at Stony Point - 1km away.
• Play golf at the delightful Kleinmond Golf Course – 15km, or visit the world class Arabella Golf Estate (25 km away) which has one of the best courses in the country and boasts a Sheraton Hotel recently rated as one of the best hotels in the world – 25km away.
• Visit the most southern tip of Africa , Agulhas (180 km), and the picture perfect old towns of Greyton and Genadendal (80km). or Bredasdorp with its famous candle factory
• Visit Hermanus (50 km), the whale capital of the world bustling with art and gift shops
• A round trip through Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, returning via Gordons Bay and Rooiels (195km) will take you through the heart of the winelands and along a most scenic marine/mountain drive, with lots of time to dine, do wine tasting and take pictures.
• Spot the legendary herd of wild horses grazing at the Kleinmond lagoon (15 km away)
